Sashikanth Ananthachari

I am a Cinematographer/Filmmaker from Chennai trained at FTII Pune. After graduating in Cinema from FTII, Pune, I worked as a cinematographer shooting arthouse feature films and documentaries at Kolkata. I have shot over 300 documentaries and 6 feature films. 2011 was a decisive year for me when I shared the chair with Professor Alf Hiltebeitel at Pardubice, Czech Republic where we hosted a session on the Mahabharata Festivals of Tamil Nadu to an international audience. My Tamil Nadu Mahabharata project is a self-financed project that I have persisted with for over 15 years in-between my work as a cinematographer shooting a wide range of films.
